This is a technical position operating and maintaining all water facilities including treatment plants, distribution system, and pump stations. Operator exercises independent judgment in achieving operational goals as established by the water system manager. All operational decisions will comply with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Wastewater Laborer II
This is a semi-technical position maintaining all wastewater facilities and equipment including treatment plant components, collection system, pump-stations and ancillary equipment. Laborers perform tasks as assigned by supervisors and operators to achieve operational goals established by the wastewater department supervisors. Laborers assist with and perform treatment plant operational tasks as assigned in accordance with established practices and standard operating procedures. A Laborer II will have to go to the land fill and drive the Vacuum truck when directed by a Supervisor.
North East Police Department – Chief of Police
To plan, direct, and review the activities and operations of the police department. Also, coordinate assigned activities with the Mayor, Fire Chief, Borough Council, and outside agencies and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Mayor and Borough Manager. Six (6) continuous years of full-time experience as a certified police officer within a qualified Police Department is required and have graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in police science, law enforcement, criminal justice, or public administration. Preference will be given to those candidates having supervisory experience and completed on-going law enforcement or related training either within an established accredited college degree program or through law enforcement training schools and conferences. Certification as a Municipal Police Officer, according to 53 Pa, C.S.A. § 2161 and following (Act 120 of 1974) is required.
